To Date & Time, HPV-PDB domiciles Genomic & Proteomic
Information on Genome-out 150 strains and their 1,036 Viral Proteins.

Human papillomavirus Proteome Database (hpvPDB) is an outcome of a Proteome Analysis Project carried out at BIC, caters as a repository with structural & sequential inputs on different HPV Strains. Mostly HPV databases developed so far, do not seem to cater such repository at one single gateway and, if available, perhaps, remain short of information on all the strains sequenced to date.

hpvPDB provides information on all HPV strains sequenced till its launching time. Retreival of such vast information from different resources with a provision of prediction and validation of proteins structures would help researchers in designing the strain specific drugs / vaccines to prevail over the cancerous consequences.
